A good restaurant, but it should be better. There are many restaurants in Seattle that are just as good and cheaper.

Very close to the symphony, the crowd were dressed in black the evening I ate here. The food was good, although the crab was a bit over cooked and dry, the curry sauce was tasty. For dessert, I had the mango and sticky rice with some sort of caramelized topping...not good...it sort of looked like a topping that usually goes on ice cream. The service was good...even though the waiter was 'in training'...she seemed to be picking up things quickly. Nice atmosphere.

Excellent food. Just be sure to call ahead for a seat to avoid the

wait. Close to many things in the downtown area. Easy to make a

whole evening of it.

Ensconced in a suburban strip mall just off 520 is Jeem, Jim Han Lock’s Asian-fusion haven. Soft spoken and distinguished, Lock has spent decades on the Seattle restaurant scene, most recently at Wild Ginger where he won the James Beard Award for Best American Chef for the Northwest region in 1997. The big teal and bamboo-accented room can be reconfigured in moments to easily accommodate very large parties. Lock’s talented kitchen staff executes a menu with so many highlights that deciding what to order is a real challenge. (Thankfully, the long wine list provides guidance in pairing wine with Asian flavors.) Begin with pork sate and ginger-mango salsa or coconut cream of pumpkin soup. Combination meals are a fine way to sample two courses at once -- such as garlic and honey pork, bitter melon with beef, oysters with ginger and onion -- but a glance at another sheet and find temptations like rack of lamb with macadamia and mango or tiger prawns with chile sauce. Fresh and saltwater tanks hold live fish and seafood, so if you’re in the mood to splurge, opt for Maine lobster with red curry sauce. Inventive dim sum is a special focus of the restaurant, and though not all plates are available on any given day, varieties number in the many dozens. Round up a group of your favorite companions for a memorable weekend brunch

It's always nice when someone takes ethnic food and moves it upscale. Wild Ginger does this beautifully. How many Asian restaurants will impress a date? Wild Ginger will.

Talk about an experience in fine dining. Wonderful wine selection and if you can't make up your mind which you would like - they will suggest a wine that will compliment all your foods. The 7-flavor beef is my absolute favorite. So tender - it just melts in your mouth. Will defenately go again.

We went there with a family group, 10 people altogether. Service was excellent, and with so many people coming and going, we were never really sure who are wait person was until the end. Atmosphere is modern, with a definate Asian flavor to it. The real treat is the food. The Pan-Pacific cuisine will leave you wanting to experience all the new dishes. With 10 people, we just ordered a bunch of different appetizers and main dishes, and then dug in. The wine selection is also very good.

I ate at the Wild Ginger for the first time this week. I have always heard that the food was great, so I have looked forward to eating there. I was very pleased with the food. I had the Hanoi Tuna and the Fragrant Duck. Both were excellent! The Tuna was perfect and melted in your mouth. It was cooked very rare, and had a nice peanut souce. The duck was great. It was very flavorful, and I enjoyed the skin that had lots of spices and herbs. I would definately go back and try other items on the menu. I have heard great things about the Seven Flavor Beef.

This place has some of the best sea-food asian style in the Washington Area. It's terrific and the location is great; right in the Pike Place Market. I can get a meal, and then do my shoping for the week in the same lo-cal. Never had an upset with this place, and love their Pan foor for it!

Wild Ginger is excellent. Ever since they've moved to their new location, their food has gotten much better too. Their Apps. are to die for. Though, it's more of a "hipper" joint, so people might be intimmidated. Service is great. Parking is ample. A must try is their beef... with peanuts, served with jasmine rice.

I read about Wild Ginger in the gourmet magazines and was excited to go there. I was not disappointed! Even with reservations, we had to wait an extremely long time in the bar....darn!! The service was good and the drinks were better. We enjoyed the Ginger Martini, complete with fresh galanga sticks! They were unusual and satisfying. We also tried the satays while waiting. All were incredible. Dinner was fantastic with all dishes served promptly. The waitstaff outdoes themselves with that extra share of hustle. A great place to dine, reservations are a must....be prepared to wait for excellent cuisine! Best in Seattle!

The couple of times I've been to Wild Ginger, we have had wonderful food. Sometimes the service is a little slow (and once our waiter broke the cork on our bottle of wine and had to start over with a new bottle) but we were never dissapointed in the end.

I thought this was barely above average. I had heard that it was a fantastic place to eat at, so took my siter there when she was visiting from back east. The atmosphere was nice, but I did'nt think the food was exceptional!
